Entirely electric commercial short-haul aviation throughout the Kingdom of the Netherlands by 2050. Sound like a pipe dream? Not if it’s up to NACO, the Royal NLR and the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management!
On behalf of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Waterstaat), NACO (Netherlands Airport Consultants, part of Royal HaskoningDHV) and the Royal NLR (Koninklijk Nederlands Lucht- en Ruimtevaartcentrum, or Royal Netherlands Aerospace Centre) have put on paper a comprehensive masterplan outlining how the Kingdom of the Netherlands as a whole can chase its more than ambitious goals in the field of sustainable aviation. On March 1st, NACO released a press statement on its website and social media accounts to present the report, which you can find below, as well as direct links to the sustainable aviation masterplan (link to original post here).
